Brandon's Reading Bucket List

This is the ten books that I want to read through out this school year.

  1. The Holy Bible. There are several reasons to why I want to read the bible from cover to cover. One is that I would like to be able to say that I did read the whole bible. Another would be so that I become a more understanding christian and a better christian. I hope to finish it by the end of this school year.
  2. The Harry Potter Series-by J.K. Rowling. I have tried to read this series in the past and I just couldn't get into them I don't know if they were to hard for me at that time or that I just wasn't into reading those sort of books at that time. I have now almost completed the first book and it is a good book and if the rest of the series is this good I should have no trouble staying interested.
  3. Holes-by Louis Sacher. I have seen a lot of people in the past reading this book and seeming to enjoy it. I have seen the movie and it was great so I guess the reason why I really want to read this book is to see whether the book or movie is better and if the book is it gonna be one of those hard to put down books.
  4. Maximum Ride Series-by James Paterson. I have read books by this author in the past and really enjoyed them I am currently reading one of his other series the Alix Rider series. It would have to be hands down one of my favorite series that I have ever read. Maybe I will finish both of them this year.
  5. Off To War- by Deborah Elis. I want to read this book because it sounds like it would be an interesting read. Also because it is about how war changes people from when they get deployed and to when they come back home to their families and it also talks about the effects it has on the children of the parent that goes off to war.
  6. I Am Number Four- by Pittacus Lore. One of the big reasons I want to read this book is because it is about aliens. In away it's kinda like the Hunger Games in a way that these nine kids are being hunted down and are always on the run and the Hunger Games by far the best trilogy I have ever read.
  7. The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy- by J.R.R. Tolkien. This book is set in like a mid evil time setting with lots of creepy monsters and other stuff that go boo in the night and make little kids check under their bed before they go to sleep. I really like the books with this kind of setting one of my favorite series is the eragon series.
  8. The Hobbit- by J.R.R. Tolkien. I want to read this book before I read the Lord Of The Rings because it is the prequel to that series. It is mostly about the hobbits fighting to gain back control of the lonely mountain and it's treasures.
  9. Lord Of The Flies- by William Goldman. I want to read this book because it is about a group of students getting stranded on a paradisical island during a nuclear war and they are cut off from modern civilization. So they regress into primitive living to suvive.
  10. Alex Rider Series- by James Patterson. I have read every book in  this series but two to three and I plan to finish this series soon. I enjoy the plot of the book which is about a young boy whose parents are killed in a shoot out, and he goes off to live with his caregiver. The twist is that his parents were spys so M16 who they where working for gets Alex to be a spy for them to.
